Rhône Wine Map Practice Pack
Learn where the Rhône’s key wine names sit with a simple routine. Study the labelled map, cover the names, then check what you remember against the key.
What you receive
- Eight core pages: three labelled reference maps, three matching recall maps, three short reasoning questions and a page of keys and answer explanations.
- Four PDF editions with the same eight pages: A4 colour, A4 low ink, US Letter colour and US Letter low ink.
- A ZIP file with a study guide, print instructions, the personal-study licence and sources.
- An A4 regional reference supplement: Northern Rhône and Southern Rhône reference sheets in colour and low ink, with source notes. These sit outside the eight core pages.
Core edition 0.7, 12 October 2026. Regional reference supplement 1.0, 14 October 2026. English.
What it covers
Eleven named crus: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Lirac and Tavel. Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages give regional context. The three map plates show real river courses, town anchors, generalised eligible-parcel coverage and a close-up around Hermitage that separates the broader Hermitage geographical area from its eligible parcels.
The maps do not show actual planted vines and are not legal plans or navigation maps. The A4 reference supplement also covers Château-Grillet and Saint-Péray. Fortified wines are not included.
How to use it
Choose the PDF that matches your paper and print at actual size. Study a labelled map, cover it and fill in the matching recall map. Each recall page has fields for a first attempt and a retry. PDF bookmarks and page links connect the maps and keys when you work on screen.
Avoid buying the same pages twice

How it was made
The maps are original vector cartography using INAO open geodata (5 October 2026), IGN/OFB BD TOPAGE river data and cited town coordinates. Source licences and dates are included with the files. AI tools assisted with the text. The core map practice pages contain no generated vineyard illustrations. The added reference sheets include a small AI-assisted decorative vineyard vignette, not a real view of the region. See the map source notes for the data credits behind the website previews.
